Oh, I can't believe April's over. It's been pretty interesting, this month. Well. That might be putting it mildly. But at least for me, it's sort of a sign that the school year's almost over. And I take back what I said earlier about going to college closer to home. I think it's kind of...well, awesome, to have a bit of freedom. Of course, it's not the type of freedom that most people would think of, but hey, it's still awesome.

I hear these kids saying, ooh, when I get out of college, I'm going to backpack across Europe.
Yeah, no. You actually bus, boat, and train across Europe really, with occasional car rides and obviously planes. But that's too much of a mouthful for them, I guess. Speaking of which? That's actually a pretty decent idea. I never got the chance to go to some of the countries I would have liked to go to when I was still living on the Army base. And of course, I'd go back to Germany again!

It seems weird to think that the school year is almost over. But I'm kind of glad it is, to be honest. I'm not signing up for summer classes because...I can only take so much. I need a break. I need to go home and chill for awhile, catch up with my family, hang out with my boyfriend...make sure there are no man eating things in my backyard...you know, things.

I'm surprised how uncreative people are. A couple of them have taken to singing 'Friday' when I enter a room for some reason.
...And a couple people have asked me where 'insert cryptid here' is. I think it freaks them out more when I give a theory than say 'I don't know.' Ha!

Okay, so, not really big on Valentine's Day, even though I had someone to celebrate it with. I mean, yeah, I got some candy and he came up to visit. Which was nice, and surprising, but I wouldn't have minded if he'd just called.
...But I guess it's a day closer to the end of the school year than Groundhog Day!

Okay, so I'm not graduating this year, but a couple of people that I got to know on the campus were, so I went to commencement yesterday, and today. And it was really nice- the ceremony, and the fact that people actually graduate. Oh well. One semester down... a couple more to go! I gotta get packed for the christmas break, though. It'll be so great to see Dad and Mom and the grandparents and the boyfriend. It hasn't been that long since I saw them- I saw them back at Thanksgiving, but this time it'll be longer.

You know, it makes sense that pumpkin pie's really only a holiday thing. It's so sweet that if it was around all the time, it would make you sick.

How weird is it that today, three years ago, The Secret Saturdays aired it's first episode? It seems really weird now, but I'd had Zak for about a month or two and he kept giving me running commentary during the whole thing- of course we had to watch it, why else wouldn't we? Time indeed flies!

I need to tell my roommate to cut back on the Adele CD. She's a good singer and everything, but her songs are very, very, very depressing. I suspect roomie's getting back at me for waking her up last week, though. I did apologize and everything...
...and if I keep hearing about the mothman sightings, I will scream. Those are so fake. But I still wanna look. Duh.

Hard week at school today. Like, staying up late to put the finishing touches on stuff, end up waking your roommate kind of week. Don't get me wrong, I really love staying on campus and I love the college, but I think I'm going to have to give some serious consideration to a one that's closer to home.

Okay, I am seriously considering becoming an enviromentalist. Not that I think polluting and destroying the earth is a good thing to begin with, but over the weekend I had to re-route somethings that I think were chupacabras because some construction was encroaching on their...well, I don't know if it was a nest per se, but that's the best word for it. So if there's a rash of goats coming up completely drained of blood, that is my fault and I apologize. And if there isn't, well, problem solved. They obviously weren't chupacabras, then.
...and I still have an essay to do. Joy.

Best. Weekend. Ever. Dad made schnitzel and spatzle! I haven't had that in forever. Reminds me of when I was little. It's a shame I have to go back to college, but at least it's not that long until Christmas break. I really love the casserole that Dad makes on Christmas Eve... I hope my boyfriend'll come over for Christmas. Or at least New Year's. Girls...

I am so glad labor day is coming up. I kinda miss being at home. Not that I don't enjoy college, but there's something about your mom waking you up for school with songs in foreign languages. 'Course if she actually does that to me, I will not be happy.

Reason why I hate Florida: Hurricanes. I've only been through one in the time I've lived here and it was the worst experience of my life.
Reason why I love college: Hurricanes are apparently an excuse to throw a party whether it hits or not. Also, my roommate is an awesome cook. I don't know why she's not going to culinary school. That being said...bring it on, Irene. I'm not scared of you. You're no Wilma.

So...uh... not much to report here today. Except I moved into my new dorm at college and I think classes start pretty soon. My roommate seems nice. I don't think we have that much in common, though. Guess that's okay, though. It might be easier to get along with someone that you don't know really well?
